ARTWORK

I've worked as Studio Manager / Mac Artworker for the past 11 years, since joining LAMC in 1997. Despite some initial training as a newcomer to all things Apple Mac, I really consider myself self-taught on all applications related to generating artwork for print and, more recently, websites.

I'm equally at home with QuarkXpress 6 and InDesign CS3 but I tend to favour InDesign nowadays for most artwork projects, using Quark only for updates to old projects. I'm also experienced in preparation of graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as final preparation of documents for print in Adobe Acrobat.

Over the past 11 years my work has covered almost all areas of printed literature, from the bread-and-butter work of stationery and leaflets, through to brochures, multi-page product catalogues, newsletters, direct mailers and press ads, as well as large format work for exhibition stand systems and pop-up stands.

As websites have become more in demand, I've developed my skills in Adobe GoLive CS2 and Dreamweaver CS3 (this site is my first attempt at Dreamweaver). I'm now exploring the manifold benefits of CSS in website design in my free time. Of course there is always room for improvement to my knowledge and workflow and I have the facility at home to put in the time to do this.
